The wave will be reflected back to its source of generation if the discontinuity is in a normal position relative to the incident beam. At <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scimexicosa.mx\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SCI<\/a> we have different techniques to carry out <strong>Ultrasonic testing<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_empty_space][vc_row_inner row_type=&#8221;row&#8221; type=&#8221;full_width&#8221; text_align=&#8221;left&#8221; css_animation=&#8221;&#8221; css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1639742702193{padding-right: 0px !important;padding-left: 25px !important;background-color: #ffffff !important;}&#8221;][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"internas-titul\">CONVENTIONAL ULTRASOUND<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Conventional ultrasonic testing<\/strong> equipment works on the principle of sending a pulsed beam of high-frequency ultrasound from a <strong>handheld transducer<\/strong> or <strong>probe<\/strong>, which is placed on the surface of the object to be tested.<\/p>\n<p>In manual inspection, <strong>the Inspector acts directly in the execution of the examination<\/strong>, that is, he is responsible for the correct application of the inspection procedures, both in the handling of the probes and in the interpretation of the data.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]In most of its branches, <strong>SCI<\/strong> has <strong>bunkers<\/strong> for radiography. This method involves using a probe for each zone, varying the number of probes according to the <strong>profile and thickness<\/strong> of the weld. The probes, mounted on a carriage, move circumferentially around the weld while maintaining a constant distance from the centerline of the weld.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, with the use of <strong>Phased Array<\/strong> technology, this type of inspection has experienced considerable progress, both in the method of work and in its execution.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Phased Array<\/strong> system is based on the use of probes with multiple crystals. By selecting a set of them and applying the appropriate delays, we can obtain different angles and focuses. In <strong>weld inspection<\/strong>, this means that where previously several probes were used, with this technique we use a single probe.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner row_type=&#8221;row&#8221;
